The transformation of this to the National White Card will take place in each state at different times.

The unit of aptitude is called CPCCOHS1001 A Work safely in the construction industry. This has been created to match the requirements of the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work. After successfully completing this unit of aptitude a student will receive a statement of attainment and the White Card License. Most states in present have rules and regulations in place, which mandates completion of a general safety induction course before anyone can join the construction industry. As such, all the states have developed its own course to meet that obligation.

However, from 1 July 2009 most states have amended their rules & regulations to make sure that only CPCCOHS1001A meet the regulatory obligations. It should be noted by the RTOs that a number of jurisdictions are coming up with a plan to limit training to face-to-face only. The White Card Queensland course is targeted at all workers engaged in construction work, including: self-employed persons, labourers, traders, supervisors and project managers.

Regulators in each state have different requisites, which RTOs should have to match before they can teach this course CPCCOHS1001A Work safely to the employees who are looking forward to work in construction industry.

For example one can only pursue the White Card Australia Qualification online if he/she are a resident of Queensland or Western Australia. Some RTOs have the authorization to deliver the online course in Tasmania and Northern Territory.

Church of Scientology does not see humor in website dedicated to Tom Cruise

Sunday, September 25, 2005

The Church of Scientology has threatened legal action in order to take over ownership of the domain name of a web site which links to the odd behaviour of one of the world’s most famous scientologists: Tom Cruise.

http://ScienTOMogy.info has apparently received a fax and at least 6 emails in the span of 2 days from Scientology lawyer Ava Paquette of Moxon & Kobrin threatening a lawsuit of up to $100,000 if the domain name ownership is not transferred. This type of letter is often called a cease and desist letter.

The owners of scienTOMogy.info have posted the complaints and their replies, saying that the site simply expresses opinion, does not make any claims, and clearly states that it has no connection to the Church of Scientology. “The site was put up as a single source to view all the recent hype Tom has made about the church – it does nothing but show Tom, so we are at a loss as to why the church is acting so rashly.”

The Church of Scientology is notorious for pursing legal action against its critics, under the name of the “Religious Technology Center” (RTC). It previously made headlines when it used the US’s Digital Millennium Copyright Act to remove xenu.net, a site critical of Scientology, from Google’s listings.

Wednesday, August 11, 2021

The local government areas of Ballina Shire, Byron Shire, the City of Lismore, and Richmond Valley in New South Wales, Australia were placed under stay-at-home restrictions effective at 6PM local time on Sunday, with residents only allowed to leave their homes for essential reasons that include grocery and other essential shopping, medical appointments, vaccinations, and caring duties. The order is to remain effective until 12:01AM on August 17th.

This follows the announcement of a COVID-19 case in the region – a man who had travelled to the Byron Shire from Sydney, also under such restrictions. New South Wales chief health officer Kerry Chant said the man, currently under treatment at Lismore Base Hospital, was “infectious in the community for a while”, and had “symptoms for several days”.

Mayor of Byron Shire Michael Lyon told residents “if anyone is not feeling well please, please go and get tested”, stating while information about the COVID-19 case is emerging, “…people should be making sure they are checking in with QR codes whenever they go into a shop or business, wearing a face mask and social distancing.” New South Wales recorded 283 cases of the coronavirus on Monday.

Individuals Affected By The Changes In Tax Laws Need An Itin Renewal}

Individuals affected by the changes in tax laws need an ITIN renewal

by

George Mathew

An ITIN is basically a nine digit number issued by the IRS to the resident aliens and nonresident foreign nationals, who does not possess a Social Security Number, for executing the various taxes related activities in the United States. Apart from that the individuals use this number as a legal identity proof regardless of their immigration status when applying for a bank loan, open a business or ensure some other health insurance plans. It begins with the number 9 and has a combination of fourth and fifth digits ranging from 50 to 65, 70 to 88, 90 to 92, 94 to 99. Previously, individuals applied for and received an ITIN only once. But under the new law passed by the PATH act, millions of immigrants are required to renew it in order to avoid several tax obligations.

The IRS emphasizes that fact that there are two groups of ITIN holders. The first includes all those taxpayers who have not used their ITIN on a federal tax return for the last three years must renew their ITIN before filling the 2016 tax return. Second the individuals who have an ITIN that was issued before 2013 will begin to expire based on its middle digits. Not renewing an expired ITIN can result in delay of the refunds as well as the ineligibility in applying for certain tax credit like the Child Tax Credit or some other additional penalties.

Since ITIN runs parallel to the tax preparation services both the applicants, their dependent spouses, and children can claim for an ITIN renewal. In that case they must provide a valid reason for renewing it. The applicants need to fill up the form W7 and provide all the necessary documentation, including passport, civil birth certificates, US or foreign voter card, driving license and a State ID. Usually in these ways individuals can submit the renewal package.

Mail their application form W7 to the office of IRS along with all the necessary, original and certified documents attached to it. The original documents are returned back to the candidates within 60 days.

Take the assistance of various certified acceptance agents or acceptance agents around the world. These agents are basically individuals, business institutes who work in a written agreement with the IRS for verifying all the documents submitted. Then they send the certified authenticated copies to the IRS for processing.

Make an appointment with the IRS tax assistance centers nearby in lieu of mailing all the original documents.

There are a number of other sources available to help the applicants for renewal programs. The IRS is also working closely with a variety of partner groups in order to share information about the

ITIN renewal services

to raise an awareness among the people about the new guidelines to be followed. Steps have also been taken to make the entire process more simplified like provision of a family renewal option in which applicants having an ITIN with the middle digits of 78 and 79 can choose to renew the ITIN for the whole family instead of waiting to renew them individually. It takes nearly 7 weeks to process the ITIN renewal. Also, individuals applying for renewals need not attach a tax return along with the form. Offering renewal services ensure goodwill for the existing tax preparation business as it is an extended part of ITIN program.

George Mathew has 39 years of experience of working as an accountant for ITIN4ME, a tax processing company authorized by the IRS, offering ITIN renewal services.

Indian Premier Manmohan Singh undergoes heart bypass; Pranab Mukherjee takes charge

Sunday, January 25, 2009

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh received a successful coronary artery bypass surgery and was recuperating well in the state-run All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Sunday.

Dr. Manmohan Singh is the 17th and current Prime Minister of the Republic of India. He also serves as the Union Minister for Finance, succeeding P. Chidambaram.

“The 76-year-old Prime Minister is doing fine now. He is conscious, stable, comfortable and is making rapid progress. He also met his family and congratulated all doctors. [His] ventilator has been taken off and he is breathing on his own. This is an important step,” said Dr. Ramakant Panda, one of the surgeons, after the 11-hour procedure on Saturday.

According to critical care specialist Dr. Vijay D’Silva, who has been entrusted with his post-operative care, Singh has been given a liquid diet since morning including a cup of tea, and was speaking to doctors after the procedure. “The way you [doctors] are taking care of me, you should also take care of other people”, Dr. D’Silva, who received his basic medical training in Nagpur and headed the ICU at Mumbai’s Jaslok and Lilavati Hospitals before he helped set up the ICU at the ultra-modern Asian Heart Institute, quoted Singh as saying.

“We started the operation at 7:45 am. The second operation always takes longer and makes it difficult to reach the heart. We did a total of five by-passes to clear multiple blockages in his arteries. Surgery was the long term answer since there were many blockages. We will take the PM out of the breathing machine in the next 2-3 hours and the PM should stay for three days in the ICU and then 4-5 days more in the hospital,” Drs. Panda and D’Silva explained.

Singh’s personal physician and AIIMS cardiac surgeon, Dr. K. S. Reddy, has predicted the PM will be allowed to attend to some official work in two weeks, to most of the duties in four weeks and will be able to resume office in six weeks. “PM was sent to the Operation Theatre at 6:40 am, surgery was done at 8:45 am and was concluded at 7:30 pm. PM was sent back to the ICU at 8:55 pm,” said Dr. Reddy.

“The team has brought about 20 boxes of special equipment with it. Earlier, Dr. K. S. Reddy had discussions with Dr. Panda in connection with the line of treatment to be followed,” the team of 11 doctors said.

The team of surgeons made a 6 to 7 inch incision along the scar that marked the PM’s 1990 bypass operation, and he was given five grafts. “The new grafts, all 3 mm long, will last the PM the rest of his life,” said Dr. Pradyot Kumar Rath from the Asian Heart Institute. “If the PM could have been so active with all the blockages, he can be even more active now,” Dr Panda said.

Singh underwent a coronary angiography at the AIIMS hospital on Tuesday and Wednesday and was discharged on Thursday. The tests results revealed multiple arterial blockages and Singh returned to hospital on Friday for pre-surgery tests.

External Minister Pranab Kumar Mukherjee, age 73, has been given the charge of Finance Ministry after he held meetings with Congress President Sonia Gandhi and then Prime Minister Singh. Mukherjee said he would meet the Prime Minister because he was going for treatment and when he was abroad, Singh was in hospital. “These are quite natural things. You should not be unnecessarily worried over and coming here in large numbers,” he said.

Mukherjee has also taken charge over some prime ministerial responsibilities, while Singh recovers, officials and media reports said. But no acting prime minister has been named while Singh is recuperating. Mukherjee will also preside over Cabinet meetings and will further handle coal, environment and forests, including information and broadcasting and finance portfolios.

Pranab Kumar Mukherjee, a native of West Bengal, India, is the Minister for External Affairs of India in the Manmohan Singh-led Government of India. A prominent leader of the Indian National Congress in the 14th Lok Sabha, he is known to be a competent party apparatchik, “a prominent Gandhi family loyalist who did not win a popular election until 2004”.

Singh, a diabetic, underwent a bypass surgery in Britain in 1990 and had an angioplasty in 2004 in Delhi in which stents were introduced in his arteries. He had earlier been operated for a benign enlarged prostate in 2007, and for nerve compression in both wrists in 2006 and cataract removal procedure last year, officials said.

The Congress Party, which leads the coalition Government, has said that he will remain Prime Minister if Congress and its allies win again. But Congress is reportedly planning to replace him, possibly within two years, with Rahul Gandhi, the 38-year-old son of Sonia Gandhi, the Italian-born Congress leader. “Days are not far off for Rahul Gandhi to become Indian Prime Minister,” Mr Mukherjee said earlier this month.

Rahul is an Indian politician and member of the Parliament of India, representing the Amethi constituency. He is a member of the Nehru-Gandhi family, the most prominent political family in India. He is the son of current Italian-born Congress President Sonia Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated in 1991. Gandhi was 14 years old when his grandmother, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, was assassinated by her security guards. His great-grandfather, Jawaharlal Nehru, was the first Prime Minister of India, and his great-great-grandfather Motilal Nehru was a distinguished leader of the Indian independence movement.

Removals And Storage—How To Prepare

Submitted by: Dean Mol

When it comes to removals and storage, one of the last things that we want is to be stuck trying to figure out what to do when the movers finally get there. So the question is—what should you do in order to prepare for removals and storage?

First of all, you should clean up. It may seem a little silly, but you have to understand that clean in isn’t the removals and storage company’s job—it’s yours. Chances are that if you don’t have everything at least reasonably squared away that they’ll have trouble getting everything packed up.

Next, get rid of any junk you don’t want—before they come. Most removal companies are just going to take your items to your new location, unless you talk with them beforehand. But, let’s face it—it’s cheaper to simply throw everything out a little bit at a time before they even get there.

If you are, for whatever reason, going to provide your own boxes, then you need to take the time to make sure that you have the packing materials ready before anyone gets there—it’s imperative. Take your time to check over the boxes, make sure they’re sturdy, etc.

Before the removals and storage company actually gets there, take your time to get the little ones and the pets out of the way. Let’s face it—curious little onlookers probably won’t be the most helpful and if either of them gets caught underfoot…it can end badly not only for the movers, but also for the little one. In short, just find a neighbor or friend who can take care of them until the movers have left, or find some way to engage them.

Next, before you head to storage, make sure that you have the house completely cleaned of everything that you want moved before you and the movers go anywhere. Make sure that you have an idea of what all is going where—it’ll help you when you finally get out of the house.

Then, once you get ready to move in, you can call the removals company to ask them to move your stuff in. Talk with the removals and storage company before you plan on moving in so that you can find out whether or not they actually offer that service. It’s quick, easy, and most people will find that the company is more than willing to accommodate.

It’s easy to find removals and storage companies—but finding a good removals company can be a little harder. Take the time to do your research—find a company that offers everything that you need. If you want a company that packs, then look for a company that packs. If you want one that also offers cleaning services, then look for one that offers cleaning services. You as the consumer have so many options! Just make sure that you know what you want and then take the time to get it! There are loads of removals and storage companies—find the ones that you want.

Proposed bill could force federal weather data offline

Friday, April 22, 2005

A bill introduced last week by Republican Rick Santorum in the US senate, S. 786, could prohibit National Weather Service from publishing free forecasts online.

This would have no effect on The National Hurricane Center as the bill exempts forecasts meant to protect “life and property.”

“The weather service proved so instrumental and popular and helpful in the wake of the hurricanes. How can you make an argument that we should pull it off the Net now? What are you going to do, charge hurricane victims to go online, or give them a pop-up ad?” said Dan McLaughlin, a spokesman for Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.

Barry Myers, executive vice president of AccuWeather a service that currently competes with National Weather Service free forecasts , said “the bill would improve public safety by making the weather service devote its efforts to hurricanes, tsunamis and other dangers”.

Last year the NOAA eliminated a policy that had prohibited them from offering services that could be provided by the private industry.
