For the first time website owner, it can be difficult to know where and how to maximize your advertising dollars, and to find out where to start looking for web advertising services. Overall, the question most often posed by the novice website owner is, aWhatas the best place to advertise online?aOne cheap, easy and effective method of online advertising is link exchanges. These are a virtual meeting of the minds where website owners around the globe get together and exchange their website addresses to gain increased website traffic. This is a great way to drum up some free website traffic as the majority of link exchanges are a completely free service.Another great resource for free advertising is online message boards. Also free to use and free to join, you can post your website for public viewing all over the net. A word of caution, however, spamming message boards is heavily frowned upon, so the best way to maximize your time spent advertising here is to simply include your website address in your signature. This way, you can post valued and welcomed content on message boards, while still keeping your advertising message at the forefront. If you may still be lost as to what and where the best place is to advertise online, consider using other online resources and searching for other methods through search engines. These can be very simple and no hassle to use. You can also use some of these services repeatedly.Advertising campaigns revolve around getting the word out to the right people. It is important that when you are using advertising campaigns that you sell to the people that will be actually interested. For example, if you advertise sporting goods on a sleeping bed website, you might not see much revenue increase.Relevance in advertising is something that many of the big advertising providers are just now catching on to. It seems that the more relevant content is to the supporting advertisements, the better the click thru rate and ultimately the purchase rate for customers going to advertiseras websites. One of the best ways to maximize your advertising dollar is to advertise on search engines. Body Building Supplement Guide

Body Building Supplement Guide by Chung Leong YuBody building industry is a tremendously large industry. There are thousands of companies offering hundreds types of supplements to cope with this increasing demands of muscle building supplements. But what is the most effective bodybuilding supplement? Which one to take and which supplement are necessary? This guide is to help assist you in choosing the best supplement you need, giving you the top ten bodybuilding nutrition supplement, body building supplement fact, cheapest and most effective bodybuilding supplement that you can find in the internet to assist you in the quest for your dream body. It does not matter whether you want to have a model body or want to join a body building competition, you have to start somewhere and build muscle first. How to build muscle?Basically in order to build muscle, calories in must be more than calories out. This is because muscles are living tissues and in order to build a living tissue, it must be built out of calories. I have heard a thousand times people saying build muscle and burn fat at the same time and I find that it is totally impossible because it just goes against Mother Nature. Having said that and clarified, lets talk about how to build muscle. A muscle can only be build if it is subjected to overload stress, which in layman terms we call it weight training, any form of it, in or out of the gym. When we weight train, for example we want to build a huge big gun biceps, we need to stress the biceps with weights and over load it. When that happens, the bicep muscle actually has minuscule tears. Then with proper rest and nutrition, the muscle fibers will recover and then added size because the bicep muscle wants to protect its self against the stress load that it have been subjected before. So the process goes like this weight train, rest, nutrition and the growth! Without proper nutrition, the body does not have the raw materials to build on. Its like craving a sculpture with very little clay, there is nothing much to carve with! The body must be in an anabolic environment to grow, and to provide that constant anabolic environment, proper nutrition is needed. But in these modern days full of pollution and chemicals, the quality of nutrition is not guaranteed in natural foods. Body building supplement can fuel the body with high quality nutrition!Proper nutrition is one of the part where people find it the most difficult to take charge. Firstly, they do not know the facts and how regarding nutrition for muscle growth. They have been given wrong information and wasted a lot of time trying the wrong food and supplements and then secondly, it is the nature of their lifestyle and working environment that do not allow them to have access in these wonderful nutrition. For example, if they have a hectic schedule or works in a factory that have no proper food served, their muscle gains will be interrupted. Hence, this guide is to tell you exactly what food groups and amount you need in order to achieve optimum growth and also the recommended and cheapest possible supplements that will help to achieve the best gains possible for you.Why choosing the right body building supplement that is suitable for your body type, goals and lifestyle is crucial?Well for example, even though 100 Percent Whey Protein Concentrate Gold is known to be one of the best brands around but it wont work for you if you have ectomorphs body type (the skinny body type and have small frame) but instead, getting a mass gainer with creatine in it would be the best choice. In additional, if you have an ectomorphs body type but have a tight schedule at work and eating regular quality meals is a problem for you, then it would be advisable to buy a weight gainer supplement or meal replacement that comes in convenient packs and bars. You see, buying and choosing a body building supplement is an art itself. That is the whole purpose of this guide; to assist you in the nutritional aspect as well as the practical aspects as well because I am a user my self and I have been there and experienced the difficulty that you are going though.Bodybuilding is an art and you need the right tools that can give you the edge to crave your masterpiece. The body that you have always wanted!Yu Chung Leong is an experienced and motivated personal trainer for many years. He is passionate about health and fitness and enjoys helping people achieve their fitness goals. “Woofstock” dog festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

North America’s largest outdoor dog festival came back to Toronto last weekend for its fifth year. It ran from the 9th of June to the 10th of June at Toronto’s historical St. Lawrence Market. A Wikinews reporter was there on Sunday to report on some of the events that happened on the last day.

The “Woofstock” dog festival attracted as many as 140,000 people with their dogs. The festival had tons of accessories, sold under tents, to buy for dogs; food, toys, designer clothes, and more. About 400 vendors and exhibitors were there to promote their products, which also gave private dog companies or groups a chance to show their new products. The local SPCA and some animal rescues were under tents answering questions from visitors. While walking, all visitors could see the CN Tower and other very tall buildings.

One of the local TV stations, Citytv, was there. They hosted a live event at the show which was broadcast on TV. People came up on the stage and asked questions regarding their dogs and the host and co-host answered them.

A man, who called himself the “Chalk Master”, drew two pictures on pavement with chalk. He did it for free but donations were welcome. One was a picture of a girl’s head beside a dog’s head, and another with a wolf.

“Hello Humans. I’ve been invited here to provide your eyeball(s), with some pretty colours. I don’t get paid as I work this weekend strictly for tips… so, if you like what you see please make a DONATION. If you don’t like it simply reach into the pocket of the person next to you and give me their money. CHALK MASTER.”

A contest called “Canada’s top dog” had its own tent with a professional photographer taking pictures of dogs behind a white screen; the winning photo is to be published on the cover of “Puppy and dog basics” magazine.

Large “Gourmet” dog bones were also served from a cart and table.

Next year’s festival is expected to be bigger and better with even more attractions.

Media round-up: April Fools’ Day 2008

Tuesday, April 1, 2008

Many media outlets traditionally deliberately spread hoaxes on April Fools’ Day, including notable quality sources such as National Geographic and Science.

The popular British tabloid The Sun wrote that French President Nicolas Sarkozy is to undergo stretch surgery to make him taller than his wife, Italian artist and model Carla Bruni. The report claimed the 5 foot 5 inch leader would be made 5 inches taller in one year using a method by Israeli professor Ura Schmuck. The Sun noted that during his visit to Britain last week, Sarkozy had high-heel shoes while his wife wore a pair of flat pumps.

The Guardian on the other hand ran an article that suggested that Carla would head an initiative by Prime Minister Gordon Brown to bring more glamour, good taste and sophistication to the U.K. general population. This would involve collaboration with Marks & Spencer for high-street fashion and Jamie Oliver for meals and wine.

BBC News had real-looking footage of flying penguins fronted by documentary host Terry Jones, which were actually an advertisement for its new iPlayer.

US call centre business to create 600 jobs in Wales

Monday, February 20, 2012

Conduit, a subsidiary of the US directory assistance organisation kgb, is to create six hundred new jobs in the Welsh capital Cardiff by the end of 2012. Conduit is currently searching for 320 employees and intends to employ a further 280 this year.

In a statement, First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones described the news as “yet another indication that Welsh government policies are having a beneficial effect supporting the economy and creating jobs during these difficult times”, saying he was “delighted that Conduit is yet again expanding its operations in Wales.” Edwina Hart, Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology and Science, said she was “pleased that using the economic levers we have at our disposal, such as creating sector-specific enterprise zones, we continue to attract and retain world class business in Wales.”

The new employees will work at Fusion Point, an office area in Cardiff city centre. Prior to this announcement, Conduit already had in excess of 1900 employees within three Welsh bases in Cardiff Gate, Swansea, and Cardiff city centre. This new contract has been created in association with a residential care service provided by British Gas.

Conduit Europe chief executive officer Denis Creighton said of the company’s decision: “Wales delivers our best performance figures period. And that’s why we’re planning to focus future growth here.”

Open Rights Group holds first conference in London

Sunday, July 25, 2010

London — The Open Rights Group, a pressure group pursuing reform of intellectual property law in the United Kingdom, held its first “ORGCon” yesterday at City University London. Approximately 100 delegates took part in six hours of panel discussions and workshops on a wide range of topics in intellectual property, discussing such subjects as “How To Talk To Your MP” and “ACTA: A Shady Business”, in what ORG billed as a “crash course in digital rights” designed to inspire campaigning on intellectual property issues.

Cory Doctorow, a fiction author and digital rights activist, led the keynote panel discussion “Thriving in the Real Digital Economy”, which opened the conference. Doctorow called for a “reframing” of the digital rights slogan “information wants to be free”. “The most important thing” about digital rights, he noted, “has nothing to do with art. We are refitting the information network with lots of control.” Digital rights management (DRM) technologies, Doctorow warns, build in limitations on how consumers exchange information and “abuse the market”. John Buckman of Magnatune followed up Doctorow’s comments, noting that DRM is “unsustainable” but that the public needed to “pressure companies into” open-source solutions.

A keynote speech by James Boyle compared the current age to the age just before application of the theories of Adam Smith and other early capitalist economists began breaking down the entrenched monopolies of mercantilism. Boyle called on the audience to come up with a “jaw droppingly simple” idea for a reformed copyright system; he gave his speech in front of a projection of the twitterfall as audience members commented on his words.

Boyle, like most of the conference, took a pro-reform but anti-piracy position, saying “It is a tragedy that an entire generation has lost the notion that breaking the law is wrong”. While several members of the Pirate Party UK, wearing matching t-shirts, attended the conference and held a fringe meeting during the last session, none spoke in the keynote sessions either as panelists or in the discussions.

Among the many workshops which comprised the last three hours of the day, Open Rights Group held a session on student groups and committed itself to establishing Open Rights Group Youth societies at universities across the United Kingdom. Young activists, such as Wikipedian Jdforrester, also dominated the “Your Shout” session in which any and all delegates could give three-minute speeches on any intellectual property subject which interested them.

The organisation hopes to host a second ORGCon in 2011.
