Bomb in Dagestan explodes Russian military truck

Friday, September 2, 2005

An explosion today in Makhachkala, Russia in the Russian region of Dagestan killed one and wounded five others, police say. The bomb detonated in a pile of garbage, where servicemen and a truck had been sent to search for explosives on a street near a military base. When the engineers got out of the truck to search, the bomb went off.

The Dagestani Ministry, reported by the Russian news agency ITAR-Tass, originally stated that the blast killed two servicemen and wounded three others. They later revised this to six servicemen wounded (as well as one civilian), but no fatalities. A police officer told ITAR-Tass news that a brigade had been on patrol when the explosion occurred.

According to RIA-Novosti and Interfax news, medics reported one death and six injuries. RIA-Novosti also reports that the bomb exploded near a trolley bus.

Police and ambulances were immediately brought to the area of the explosion, which was quickly sealed off by police.

The alleged planters of the bomb were followed by police, but escaped after firing at the officers.

This explosion is not surprising, as racial tensions in the Muslim majority region of Dagestan often lead to attacks on officials and police.

John Reid: Iraq does radicalise some Muslim youth

Tuesday, November 21, 2006

UK Home Secretary John Reid contradicted the Prime Minister’s opinion that foreign policy and the war in Iraq are not the reason some Muslim youth turn to terrorism.

Reid is reported as saying in an interview with the London Evening Standard “I do believe that foreign policy is sometimes a motivating factor in radicalisation of young Muslims and the potential recruitment to terror…It is better to be frank about it. To say it isn’t a cause isn’t to say it has nothing to do with the whole process.”

Blair has said repeatedly that the idea that the war had been a factor in radicalising youth was “rubbish” and, when speaking to the Commons Liaison Committee said it should be “challenged at every level”.

Can I Get Money For Donating My Body To Science?

By Madeline Binder

Today people are looking into every option that they have to make a little extra money. One of the questions that many people have asked is, “can I get money for donating my body to science?” The answer to this question is usually going to be no.

Donating a Body to Science

When you donate a body to science you are usually doing so as a philanthropic gift. The body is used by various organizations to harvest and study specific body parts. These body parts can be tissues, organs or cells. They are used to advance medical knowledge of the tissues or organs, as well as to help develop cures and treatments for specific diseases and disorders like Alzheimer’s Disease, diabetes and cancers.

How to Donate a Body to Science

The process of donating a body to science is very simple, at least from your end. To start with you will need to determine how much of your body you want to donate. You can select to donate specific tissues or organs to science, or you can donate your entire body. Next you will want to contact the American Association of Tissue Banks to find tissue banks and other research facilities that are accredited. These are the institutions that have standards in place that relate to the ethical recovery of human tissues and organs and that also have standards in place that govern how the tissues are handled and managed once they are harvested.

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mVguBudOs0[/youtube]

Each medical research institution is going to have its own rules for donation. Usually, however, it will just involve filling out some forms, answering questions about your medical history and talking with an intake specialist who will answer your questions and process your paperwork.

Tissue Donation

You are in charge of how much of your body is donated to science. If you want to help medical science find cures and treatments for diseases then you can donate specific tissues to a tissue bank. You can talk to the organization that you will be donating your tissues to about what donation options you have.

Organ Donation

Organ donation can be handled in two different ways. First of all you can volunteer to donate your organs for transplant purposes in the event of your death. This is very simple to do as it only involves checking a box on your drivers license. The second option is to donate your organs to science for research. This process will involve working with an organ or tissue bank, or with a specific research institution. It will involve paperwork and an intake interview, both of which will only take a few moments of your time.

Whole Body Donation

If you are interested in donating your entire body to science then you will want to work with an accredited tissue bank organization. They will walk you through your options and help you complete the paperwork that is necessary for donating an entire body. Since your entire body will be utilized by science there will not be a body to bury or cremate. This can be disturbing for some family members, so it is something that will need to be talked about with your family so that they understand what your wishes are.

Dealing With Family Members

Tissue, organ and body donations are easy for the person to make, as for them the process is basically just paperwork. However, for the loved ones that survive the person who donated their body to science, emotional trauma can develop as a result of not understanding or knowing that the person wanted to donate part or all of their body to science. It is because of this that you need to let your family members know that you want to donate all or part of your body to science. This can help lessen the impact upon your death.

Making Money With Your Body Donation

As mentioned earlier, you generally cannot make money by donating your body to science. However, there are a few exceptions. The first exception is if you have a unique disease or unique physical abnormalities. In this case researchers may be willing to pay for your body. Another exception is if you have rare blood. In this case you can may be paid for blood donations and plasma donations. Most people that are healthy can also make money by donating plasma to a plasma bank. Beyond these exceptions you will generally be making your donation to science as a gift and not as a money making proposition.

Wikinews investigates the reconstruction of Pichilemu, Chile after February earthquake

Eight months after a catastrophic earthquake, Wikinews has investigated the devastation caused in February and the reconstruction of Pichilemu, Chile. The February 27 earthquake and a subsequent tsunami completely destroyed Pichilemu’s most coastal street and its oldest villages. Wikinews has also had access to the original design plans of the new kiosks in Pichilemu, and conducted an interview with merchant Alejandro Mella, known locally as the King of the Cochayuyo (“El Rey del Cochayuyo”), who lost his kiosk after the earthquake.

Pichilemu is a coastal city in the O’Higgins Region of Chile, known as one of the “best surfing spots” in South America. Its current Mayor is Roberto Córdova Carreño, who was elected internally by the Councillors of the city in September 2009, after several political controversies that ended with three Mayors being displaced.

The territory of Pichilemu has a surface of 7,491 square kilometers, and comprises at least 24 villages, such as Ciruelos, Rodeíllo and Espinillo (the latter two also severely damaged by the March 11 earthquake). Pichilemu is the most popular beach in O’Higgins Region, and many tourists visit it every summer.

The earthquake took place in what is considered the “last weekend in the summer;” on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 03:34 local time (06:34 UTC), while almost all Chileans were sleeping. Hours earlier, on Friday, thousands of people had arrived at Pichilemu. “The house moved from side to side. I really thought it was going to fall. It was 3 or 4 minutes long,” Diego Grez, a Chilean student who was in Pichilemu at the time of the quake, told Wikinews in an interview.

A concert was being held at the One Discotheque when the earthquake occurred. It is said that the audience panicked and fled outside the discothèque, and then to the La Cruz Hill. Most tourists fled outside the city right after the earthquake occurred, but many others opted to stay in the La Cruz Hill or the village of Pueblo de Viudas, which are the higher points in the city.

“Pichilemu is the symbolic beach resort in the Sixth Region [of O’Higgins], so it was not strange to even think that [during] the last weekend before the entrance to school, many people would be going to take advantage of it to take a vacation; and that’s what happened,” reported El Rancagüino, the most important newspaper in O’Higgins Region, on February 28.

The only radio broadcasting in the area was Entre Olas, directed by Jorge Nasser, which also helped Pichileminians know what happened in other affected places by the earthquake, as they re-broadcasted the audio of Televisión Nacional de Chile (National Television of Chile). On the day of the earthquake, the station reported that a local police truck had crashed near La Cruz Hill. There was no tsunami warning, and Mayor Córdova was away on holiday when the earthquake struck.

“Those who live in Pichilemu, and those who were visiting it, were surprised by the giant waves that annihilated its beach and reached the city’s square, destroying everything on their way,” reported El Morrocotudo on February 28. “The most tough thing occurred when the firefighters’ alarms sounded twice, and the people in the hill began to yell ‘tsunami!’,” journalist Tania Arce told the newspaper.

The earthquake destroyed one of Pichilemu’s oldest and iconic buildings, the post office, which was demolished in July. The urban centre of Pichilemu was not severely damaged by the earthquake, but its subsequent tsunami caused most of the destruction. The Agustín Ross architecture in the city (three of his buildings are National Monuments of Chile) was damaged. Agustín Ross Balcony was completely destroyed.

According to SHOA, the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Chilean Navy, the tsunami triggered by the earthquake first reached Pichilemu, at 03:48 (06:48 UTC). A second wave came at 04:15 (07:15 UTC).

Policeman José Arévalo was the only person to warn residents that a tsunami was approaching. Arévalo was patrolling the Las Terrazas beach, when the earthquake occurred. He told El Rancahuaso there were around 25 people in the beach. “Right after the quake, he noticed the sea had shrank around 500 meters inside. He took his megaphone, and shouted people should leave the place instantly.” “The sea is coming out! The sea is coming out!,” he shouted. “The warning was also preceived by nightclubs and pubs surrounding the costanera. Then, the tragedy occurred. The sea destroyed everything on its way,” El Rancahuaso reported. “It all was really quick. Everyone is safe, luckily [..] It’s something unforgettable to me, I’m proud I saved all of those lives,” Arévalo added.

The tsunami destroyed restaurants, hotels, kiosks, the Fishermen Store (Caleta de Pescadores), surf schools, the Agustín Ross Balcony (located right in front of the Las Terrazas beach) and houses near the costanera (the nearest street to the beach), and flooded the building of the Government of Cardenal Caro Province, the boarding school of Pichilemu, the city square (Arturo Prat Square), and the Supermarket El 9.

A local worker, Ricardo Vivanco, also known as “El Gordo” (“The Fat one”), almost was killed by a tsunami, ignoring warnings by the Police and the Fire Bureau. Vivanco was drunk, and went down to the Las Terrazas beach with his friends. The wave washed him away, and was hit on the Agustín Ross Balcony’s wall. His friends recorded a video and uploaded it to YouTube.

It was reported by Radio Entre Olas on February 27, that the tsunami had provoked massive damage in Punta de Lobos, Pichilemu’s most popular beach. The owner of Entre Mar, an hotel and restaurant in that beach, said the tsunami had destroyed all of his buildings there.

The village of Espinillo was badly damaged, and approximately 600 people were made homeless by the earthquake, Teletrece reported on March 16. “We are keeping the government informed, we’re also organized with some churches [sic, religious organizations] that are working voluntarily in Espinillo, Los Boldos, Alto Ramírez […] We thank a lot their work, that is not to give them mediaguas [temporary tenements], but something definitive, but I also think they need resources to do it,” Mayor Córdova said.

On March 11, Chile was hit by a second earthquake, that reached a magnitude of 6.9, and that occurred 40 kilometers southwest of Pichilemu. It occurred at 11:39 local time (14:39 UTC), while the new President Sebastián Piñera was sworn in.

A tsunami warning was issued by SHOA, between Coquimbo and Los Lagos regions. People in Pichilemu fled again to La Cruz Hill. Military authorities assured people in the hill they were going to be safe there, and that it was unlikely a tsunami was going to hit again Chile’s coast. The tsunami warning was lifted at 15:50 local time (18:50 UTC).

People stayed in La Cruz Hill for a longer time than after the previous earthquake, and several activities were made there, such as a concert by Chilean-Brazilian singer Joe Vasconcellos. People were also given food, wood (mostly remains from the destroyed kiosks), and electricity.

“We are here because we fear about our safety. We don’t want it [a possible tsunami] to catch us. We have to settle down here and to accommodate,” Edith Larraín told to Wikinews. Mayor Córdova estimated that at least 2,000 people were staying at La Cruz Hill. Militaries and provincial authorities asked them to leave the hill on March 15, but most refused the deal. People eventually left the hill, due to complaints by the Mayor.

On March 20, in collaboration with the Governor of Cardenal Caro Julio Ibarra, Colonel Raúl Melo, and the Mayor of Litueche Bernardo Cornejo, Mayor of Pichilemu Roberto Córdova announced a “tourism revival campaign” of Pichilemu, promoting the surf practice, whose goal was “to make the city go back to the normality.”

On April 4, the first monument was erected in memory of the earthquake and tsunami victims. The monument was created by local artisans, with rocks from several places of the Cardenal Caro Province. “We wanted to create this monument so we don’t forget it [the earthquake] […] This is the beginning of the reconstruction,” said Julio Ibarra. The monument was placed in front of the beach, near the building of the Cardenal Caro Government. Mayor Roberto Córdova said that “it definitely will help us reconstruct [ourselves] espiritually, [and that] is essential.”

On October 20, with the help of the Government, SERCOTEC (Technical Cooperation Service, Servicio de Cooperación Técnica) and FOSIS (Solidarity and Social Investment, Fondo de Solidaridad e Inversión Social), the Fishermen Store (Caleta de Pescadores) began to be reconstructed. Caleta de Pescadores is administered by the Independent Labour Union of Fishermen of Pichilemu (Sindicato de Trabajo Independientes de Pescadores Artesanales), which has twenty-three members.

“The Government of President Sebastián Piñera has been worried about the fishing area, carrying out several actions in help of them, after all that they’ve suffered after the earthquake and tsunami that hit them […] This area is working normally again,” Governor Ibarra said.

On October 6, the Municipality of Pichilemu published the design of kiosks that were going to be constructed, as replacement of those destroyed by the earthquake. As of October 23, four kiosks have been constructed in Pichilemu, specifically on Las Terrazas beach, and two more are being constructed. According to Mauricio Grez, a construction engineer, the construction of one kiosk would cost up to US$ 2,500 (CLP 1,000,000).

Alejandro Mella, locally known as “el Rey del Cochayuyo” (“the King of the Cochayuyo”), is a merchant of Pichilemu, who promotes the cochayuyo (durvillaea antarctica), and lost his kiosk after the February earthquake and tsunami. “I was given my [former] kiosk by the Mayor Orlando Cornejo, back in 1993. It was right in front of us [in front of Las Terrazas beach, near “the grotto of the Virgin”], and was made smithereens by the tsunami,” he told Wikinews.

“I have always worked on selling cochayuyo here, and the terrain where my kiosk was located before has been disputed by private people, and the municipality approved that. I talked with the Mayor and he said ‘I don’t know what’s going on the beach’; that left me perplexed. […] I like the new design of the kiosks, they are larger, and we can do more things with it, but they are way too expensive,” he added. Mr. Mella also gave Wikinews a sample of his work as “the King of the Cochayuyo”, an essay called “El cochayuyo es una mina repleta de nutrientes y sales minerales” (“Cochayuyo is a mine full of nutrients and mineral salts”, pictured below), which he sells for 200 Chilean pesos (0.41 US$), and that contains “tips and information about the plant, and some recipes.”

Asbestos discovery triggers evacuation and closure of New Jersey middle school

Tuesday, May 20, 2008

The discovery of the presence of airborne asbestos in a middle school in Montclair, New Jersey Friday prompted the evacuation of over 200 students from the school and the school’s closure. Renaissance Middle School, part of the Montclair Public Schools in New Jersey, was closed Monday and remains closed Tuesday while undergoing asbestos testing and cleaning.

According to a letter sent home to parents by the Superintendent’s Office of Montclair Public Schools on Friday, “plaster may have been disturbed” during construction on new fire doors at the Renaissance School building on Thursday.

An inspection arranged by the school district indicated asbestos was present in the plaster, and a subsequent inspection performed by asbestos consultant Detail Associates revealed “a level of airborne asbestos fibers that exceeded the acceptable range” in the third floor hallway of the school. Montclair Public Schools business administrator Dana Sullivan told The Star-Ledger that testing conducted on March 31 revealed the presence of asbestos in a brown undercoating of plaster at the Renaissance School building.

The safety of our students and staff is always our first concern.

The affected area was sealed off, and some students were moved to other areas of the building while others were moved to off-site locations. District Public Information Officer Laura Federico told The Montclair Times that sixth and seventh graders were transported to Hillside Elementary School, and eighth graders were bussed to Montclair High School. “The safety of our students and staff is always our first concern,” said Federico.

According to The Montclair Times, Detail Associates conducted a cleaning protocol at the school on Saturday and tested the building to make sure it did not contain unacceptable levels of asbestos fibers. The letter sent to parents Friday by the Superintendent’s Office said that Detail Associates had told the district that the building would be “cleaned, tested and cleared for occupancy by Monday morning”. The school remained closed Monday, and a meeting was held between parents and school district officials. A Parent-Teacher Association meeting is planned for Wednesday night.

The Star-Ledger reported that the ongoing asbestos cleanup of the school is being supervised by the state Department of Environmental Protection. At the meeting Monday morning between parents and school district officials, parents demanded that the inside of lockers be included as part of the asbestos cleanup. This additional step in the asbestos inspection process prompted the school’s closure Tuesday. A Monday statement by the Business Office of Montclair Public Schools said that the Renaissance School would remain closed Tuesday for sixth and seventh grade students “so that an extensive cleanup and additional asbestos testing can be completed”. Eighth grade students did not have classes scheduled as a trip to Washington, D.C. had previously been planned; the school trip is unaffected by the recent asbestos incident.

The kids will be able to go back to school soon, and that’s the important part.

Steve Jaraczewski of Detail Associates was present at the district meeting Monday, and said that one of four test samples taken at the school was positive for the presence of airborne asbestos at over six times acceptable levels. Jaraczewski was critical of the asbestos management plan provided by Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark, which owns the school’s building and leases it to Montclair Public Schools.

Jaraczewski said that the state Department of Environmental Protection has required asbestos management plans since 1988, but that the company that drafted the asbestos plan for the Archdiocese of Newark is out of business. Representative for the archdiocese Jim Goodness emphasized that the building would be back open for classes soon. “The kids will be able to go back to school soon, and that’s the important part,” said Goodness.

Exposure to airborne asbestos can lead to mesothelioma, a cancer which develops in the sac surrounding the lungs and chest cavity, abdominal cavity, or the sac surrounding the heart. Exposure to disturbed asbestos fibers can also lead to lung scarring, a condition called asbestosis, and lung cancer. Patients with malignant mesothelioma generally do not have positive outcomes, and once diagnosed have six months to a year to live.

Trading Strategy Guide

Well, it all starts with obtaining the right strategy!

In this guide, we will explore the advanced Forex trading strategy with you.

You will understand to use effective action techniques in a stress-free and uncomplicated Forex trading strategy.

The Ultimate Guide To Forex Trading

This article will look at Forex trading for beginners. Moreover, it will introduce some simple Forex trading strategies.

In particular, this piece will guide you all through key Forex trading strategies that beginners can use.

Before anything else, let us know first the definition of trading strategy and how it is processed.

What Is A Trading Strategy?

A trading strategy in finance is the approach of buying and selling in markets. It is based on predefined rules applied to make trading decisions.

Understanding Trading Strategies

A trading strategy comprises of a well-considered investing and trading plan. It is the one that identifies investing objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon along with tax implications.

Meanwhile, some ideas and best practices are in need to be researched and implemented then followed to.

Development for the trading strategy incorporates expanding methods. The techniques include buying or selling stocks, bonds, ETFs or further investments and may widen to additional complex trades such as options or futures.

On the other side, placing trades implies working with a broker or broker-dealer.

In addition, it is also pinpointing and overseeing trading costs comprising spreads, commissions, and fees.

Once the trading is on execution, trading positions are being examined and managed, as well as adjusting or closing them as needed.

However, risk and return are also on measure along with the portfolio impacts of trades.

The longer-term tax outcomes of trading are a major factor. They may further encompass capital gains or tax-loss gathering strategies to offset gains with losses.

Moreover, the Forex market has hundreds of various trading strategies. Want to be aware of what are the best Forex trading strategies for beginners? First things first – what is a trend?

Understanding A Trend

Basically, a trend is the tendency for the market to remain moving in a given general direction.

A trend-following scheme efforts to produce buy and sell signals. These are the ones that align with the establishment of new trends.

There are several methods designed to distinguish when a trend starts and ends. Many of the simple Forex trading strategies that operate have similar methods.

To add, trend following can generate significant profits.

In fact, there are traders who have yielded outstanding track records making use of such systems.

On the other side, there are also some shortcomings to these strategies.

Below you will find out the disadvantages of utilizing such strategies:

    • They are tricky to stick with
    • Huge trends can be infrequent
  • The conditions that denote the potential beginning of a trend, are not frequent.

Three Beginner Forex Trading Strategies

The initial two strategies we will show you are relatively similar. It is for that reason that they make attempts to follow trends.

However, the third strategy attempts to turn a profit from interest rate differentials, rather than market direction.

1. Breakout

A breakout is any price movement outside a specified support or resistance area. The breakout can take place at a horizontal level or a diagonal level. The position is depending on the price action pattern.

Is Breakout Trading Profitable?

You can have vast profit potential if the breakout happens to the upside. It is for that reason that you got it at a way better price than anyone who purchased at the breakout price. Since you’re buying the lowest of the range your stop loss can be positioned just below your entry, so the risk is minimal.

Moving Average Crossover

Moving averages are one of the most commonly managed technical indicators in the forex market. They have turned out to be an essential part of many trading strategies. It is because they’re simple to use and apply.

The two main types of moving averages are:

    • Simple Moving Averages (SMA)
    • Exponential Moving Averages (EMA)

Both SMA and EMA are averages of a specific amount of data over a prearranged period of time. Meanwhile, Simple Moving Averages aren’t subjective towards any specific point in time. On the other side, Exponential Moving Averages put a larger emphasis on more recent data.

Carry Trade

Carry trading is one of the easiest strategies for currency trading that exists. A carry trade is when you purchase a high-interest currency versus a low-interest currency. For each day that you take in a trade, your broker will compensate you for the interest difference between the two currencies. It remains as long as you are trading in the interest-positive direction.

How Does Carry Trade Works?

A carry trade is when you make use of a currency that has a low-interest rate, then spend that money to purchase another currency that pays a greater interest rate. You make money on the difference between the interest rates.

Final Thoughts

We hope that you have discovered this introductory guide to Forex trading strategies for beginners useful.

Explosion in Turkey kills seventeen

Saturday, August 2, 2008

Reuters, AFP, the Associated Press are reporting that a gas explosion in a Turkish school killed at least seventeen girls Friday.

Reuters reports the initial death toll at sixteen, with 27 injured. The number of deaths later rose to 17 when a body was removed from the rubble. Two survivors were pulled from the rubble as rescuers worked into the night. One girl is still missing.

“We won’t stop until we find her,” village mayor Mehmet Demirgul, told the Associated Press.

About fifty students and teachers were in the school, where some had gathered on for Islamic study in the three-story structure in the village of Balcilar, near Taskent in the Konya province .

Merve Avci, a 13-year-old, slightly injured student spoke to the Anatolian news agency: “I was in the part of the building which didn’t collapse with five of my friends immediately after the explosion, and we felt flames rising from the downstairs to upper floors.”

Anatolian says that Avci was in the process of washing before pre-dawn prayers, when a noise in the building’s kitchen led Avci and some teacher to investigate. She says she saw a loose gas pipe before being ordered back to her room. She says she smelled gas coming from somewhere above her room before the explosion.

“We think the collapse was caused by a gas canister explosion in the building, given the burns on the injured,” Konya province health service official Galip Sef told Reuters.

Mayor Demirgul said a leak in a pipe carrying liquefied petroleum gas is the probable cause of the pre-dawn blast.

“We are hearing voices. I believe those inside the rubble will be saved,” Demirgul told reporters, according to the Associated Press and Reuters.

The Associated Press reports that a small portion of all three stories of the building were left standing. This is confirmed by images displayed on the Reuters website.

The building is owned by a religion foundation and is under investigation when Turkish authorities found an non-approved annex to the structure, according to AFP.

The explosion is unrelated to the bomb blast in northern Turkey on July 28.

It is most severe that in temporary regulations, the Pennsylvania Department of Health has neglected entirely to explain or enforce the basic reason for this law and failed to show how the law is intended to solve a problem that all of us, as physicians and patients, encounter every day with increasing frequency. Further, the DOH has failed to even mention, discuss, demonstrate, or require the most critical part of the badge, which the law requires. The law itself postulates them to do so when they exclaim the final regulations.

The badge is intended principally to identify the CREDENTIAL of the health care provider in a interchangeable, predictable location on every badge, in a consistent type size, in order that all patient can tell instantly whether they are being treated by a DOC, NURSE, NURSE PRACTITONER, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT, PHYSICAL THERAPIST, TOOTH DOCTOR, DENTAL ASSISTANT, ETC. xEOL.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM.

When we are sick, we are privileged to have access to the finest amounts on the planet. There are many who function as caregivers, including physicians, nurses, physician assistants, physical therapists, caseworker. The days are past when the only caregiver was a nearby doctor.

Nowadays, each of these individuals serve as primary caregivers in individual settings, including private offices, hospitals, emergency rooms, and pharmacy clinics.

Many hospital identification badges have an institutional logo and pic taking up many of the badge with the name of the caregiver and their license credential too small to read. There is no consistent design allowing a patient to read or search a badge for their credentials without physically grabbing hold of the badge.

Patients often have no idea what the credentialing designations means. What does MD, CRNP, RN, LPN, ] mean to us? Something official sounding, but what?.

There are laws and regulations in Pennsylvania promulgated by the various licensure boards whereby nurses and physician assistants must identify their credentials when caring for patients. This is not the case for physicians. Patients often infer that when no badge appears the person in the white coat or scrub suit is a physician, when most often they are NOT.
